The much awaited Mahesh’s Sankranthi release Sarileru Neekevvaru has finally arrived on silver screen. The movie starts with Major Ajay Krishna (Mahesh), commissioned in bomb squad team of Indian Army is on a journey to help his fellow colleagues family.

The fun ride starts with Ajay’s train journey, which leads to his leading lady Samskruthi (Rashmika), her crazy family and varied other characters who are designed to make you laugh. From comedy the movie suddenly shifts in to action with arrival of the usual bad guy Nagendra Reddy (Prakash Raj) a powerful MLA from Kurnool who is taking on Bharti (Viajayashanthi) the righteous medical professor.

From here the movie is all about how Ajay helps Bharti in overcoming Nagendra Reddy and his people.

Anil Ravipudi, has perfectly designed the script with all elements of Heroism, Comedy, Action, Patriotism & other sentiments, backed up by some strong performances from Vijayashanti, Rajendra Prasad & Prakash Raj which, an average movie goer would love to see. Adding to it Mahesh’s comeback to dancing is proving to be an asset to the movie and festive to his fans.

Talking of technicalities Devi Sri Prasad stands rock solid for the movie with his music. Worth mentioning Rathnavelu camera skills, that beautifully captures places like Kashmir, Kerala & Konda Reddy Burju fort.

The only let down for the movie has been its comedy pace, which falls short in some parts of the narration.

Watch this movie purely for the entertainment purpose, you will not be disappointed.

Jigra - Review

Movie follows Satyabhama Anand (Alia Bhatt), who is fiercely protective of her younger brother, Ankur Anand (Vedang Raina). Ankur, along with his cousin, travels to Hansi Dao, Malaysia, for studies but is wrongfully sentenced to death for drug possession. Determined to save him, Satyabhama arrives in Malaysia and teams up with Bhatia (Manoj Pahwa), a retired gangster, and Muthu (Rahul Ravindran), an ex-cop, to plan a jailbreak while Ankur and his fellow inmates plot their escape. What works - Alia Bhatt gives a strong performance as the determined sister, especially in the film’s climactic action scenes.
